Winery Events - Equus Run Vineyards

Equus Run is open year-round and we have a variety of events throughout the year. We have several outdoor music and fun foodie events and have hosted large concerts for Wynonna Judd, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Exile, John Michael Montgomery and Juice Newton to name a few.

With the changing of the seasons, our winery events change from outdoor to indoor and our customers can enjoy Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, Holiday Open Houses, Kentucky Chautauqua Actor Performance Series, or even a bonsai class.

Sunday “Tunes in the Vines”

Our “Tunes in the Vines” series is back as we celebrate our 23rd year. No charge…Just be prepared for fun family-friendly entertainment on Sunday afternoons! A bottle of wine, good friends, and great local music are the perfect blend for Sunday afternoons throughout the summer! A wide variety of musicians will be performing from 2:00pm-4:30pm. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and a picnic…we have the wine and local beers! Please note at this time the Tunes Series is being held in the Tasting Room garden area for outdoor social distancing. Keep checking back for more information!

Please, no other outside alcohol is allowed on the premises…it’s against the law!

Concerts at the Amphitheatre

The 6 acre terraced amphitheatre was built in early 2004 to accommodate larger national artist acts such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Wynonna, Juice Newton, Exile and many others. It overlooks a beautiful horse farm and the scenic South Elkhorn Creek for gorgeous outdoor ambience. The terraces provide seating for everyone to enjoy shows and mingle with ample space.

Foodie Series

For our guests that love food and wine, our themed Foodie Series is a delicious fun experience. Themed dinner menus with music entertainment such as the Cajun Creekside Shrimp Boil, Cigars & Zin, Pasta & Pinot or Ribeyes & Reds are offered seasonally. Local chefs prepare a meal served with Equus Run wines, local beers and local specialty cocktails. Reservations are highly suggested to this popular series.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

Our murder mystery dinners are professionally performed and very entertaining to solve “who did it”. A delicious three-course meal is served with wines, beer and cocktails available. Comedy is intertwined with fun mystery! The dinners are scheduled in the Fall and Winter seasons. Note: Due to Covid19 the mystery dinners may be on hold for 2020.
